We have the pleasure of welcoming Aline Wachtelaer (PhD in archival science, archivist at the Municipality of Schaerbeek) at Ecole 1, rue Josaphat 229 – 1030 Bruxelles, for a lecture organised as part of the exhibition ‘Privat Livemont. Fleurs à l’affiche! Bloemenpracht!’.
« Créée en 1891, l’École industrielle avait pour but de prodiguer aux jeunes gens un enseignement alliant les métiers d’art et d’industrie. Son premier corps professoral est composé de noms d’artistes renommés tels Privat Livemont, Adolphe Crespin, Paul Hankar, Paul Saintenoy, etc. Découvrez ici l’histoire unique de cette école, de ses cours et de ses enseignants. » – Aline Wachtelaer
