Kronikas
Panel, page, archive : Preserving and transmitting Comics heritage
Welcome 2024 ! We'll be presenting the brochure PANEL, PAGE, ARCHIVE. Preserving and transmitting Comics heritage,,, published as part of the first research phase of the consortium archives patrimoniales de la bande dessinée franco-belge and the Belgian presidency of the European Union from January to June 2024, thanks to the support of Wallonie-Bruxelles International and in agreement with our partners in Flanders.
This brochure is aimed primarily at comic strip authors and their heirs, as well as collectors and other archive holders (publishers, libraries, associations, etc.) who want to ensure that their heritage is not thrown away or dispersed. It answers any questions they may have about preserving their heritage.
KRONIKAS #7 ART NOUVEAU
To create a seventh high-quality issue, we selected the scripts and complete stories that were sent to us. The authors took up the challenge of the 'Art Nouveau' theme with panache. They were quick to go beyond the 'noodle' style to come up with projects that mimicked it or included it as a graphic element.

Kronikas #1 - The imaginary inventory
ALGER . BRUXELLES . LA HAVANE
Kronikas is a triangular experience of writing, illustration and comic strips, between Algiers, Brussels and Havana. An imaginary inventory of each city’s heritage through the eyes of authors living in these capitales.
This project has been supported by the Brussels-Capital Region and launch by the Autrique House asbl. It enables to gather Algerian, Brussels and Cuban authors within a single publication with a common goal : interpreting the heritage in its larger acceptation.
The revue is available now at the bookshop of the museum. Price : 5€.

Kronikas #2 - The imaginary inventory
Algiers . Brussels . Havana. Moscow
Of course, comic book culture is firmly established in Brussels. This is much less true of Havana, Moscow or Algiers. This time, however, it involves a popular art form that lends itself to themes of every kind, including heritage. While being fully aware of the serious studies and academic publications devoted to this subject, we have sought to make our own unassuming contribution by introducing a dimension that is certainly imaginary, but is nonetheless based on realities that are sometimes concealed yet always experienced.
The revue is available now at the bookshop of the museum. Price : 5€.
Kronikas #3 - The imaginary inventory
