Journées du Patrimoine/Open monumentendagen !

During the Heritage Days, the Maison Autrique town house invites visitors to discover the exhibition entitled “Horta Motifs: Fabric and wallpaper in the houses of Brussels” and to learn more about the decorative arts of the early 20th century. Whether in the form of recently rediscovered wallpaper or Art Nouveau books and bindings from the Bibliotheca Wittockiana’s collection, the concept of a “total work of art” was becoming established and revolutionising the applied arts during that period.
Saturday morning will be devoted to families. Young and old will be able to enjoy a fun exploration of the house and learn how to reproduce certain decorative effects. Saturday and Sunday afternoon will be dedicated to guided tours.

A partnership between the Maison Autrique and the Bibliotheca Wittockiana.
